CDG Play Converse “Multi Heart”

Comme Des Garcons and Converse continue their successful collaborations with both olive and cream editions of the All-Star ’70 High and All-Star ’70 OX. This “Multi Heart” collection deploys many small CDG heart logos across the 14 oz. canvas lateral and medial panels above the midsole. Cream hits the midsoles of both colorways, along with black heel strips to add a bit of contrast.

Converse JP Chukka Mid x A$AP Nast

After a 2017 collaboration, A$AP Nast and Converse again join forces for two Jack Purcell (JP) Chukka Mid colorways. Each option has a single color canvas upper, black rubber overlays that wrap around the shoe and toe cap, and a One Star logo on the heel. Burnt orange  “Pumpkin Spice” makes up the upper of one offering, while a lime “Beechnut” colors the other. Bold “JP” branding hits the footbeds as a final touch on this minimally-styled collaboration.

Converse Chuck 70 Hi x Undercover “The New Warriors” -Black/Black/Natural – ($120)

Jun Takahashi’s Undercover imprint gets together with Converse for a Chuck 70 Hi from a collection called “The New Warriors.” Based on the 70s cult classic film, this Chuck 70 elevates the iconic Chuck Taylor with a zippered closure and metal rings on the heel and toebox. The black canvas upper features a lateral panel with the collection’s “NW” circle logo, while the medial panel boasts a blacked-out classic Chuck Taylor logo.

Converse Chuck 70 HI “BHM” Collection

The iconic Chuck 70 HI gets an all-over African pattern print upper in tribute to Black History Month. This year’s BHM collection was inspired by an assortment of national African patterns, brought together onto modernized prints in a theme of Afro-futurism in sport.

Brain Dead x Converse One Star – Egret/Black/White – ($120)

LA-based Brain Dead and Converse released a pattern-frenzied capsule in October, and now the two again unite for a One Star. Dressing the minimal silhouette with multiple patterns, this model utilizes asymmetrical, mis-matched polka dots with zebra and cheetah prints. The foxing tape features the text: “To see and be seen as far as the eye can see. Who Controls the Control Men. The same elsewhere.” A black outsole that sits below the cream white midsole finishes this model which showcases Brain Dead’s irreverent styling.

CLOT has unveiled its latest project with Converse, dubbed the “Ice Cold” pack. Inspired by polar bears, the collaboration features two models, the Chuck 70 and Jack Purcell.

The Chuck 70 Hi features a tri-panel Sherpa execution patchworked together in a variety of off-white shades, with fur lining on the interior for ultimate coziness. Zipper closures on the heel ensure easy foot access, and Polar Bear paw prints are found on the outsole as a final tribute to the endangered animal.

The Converse Jack Purcell Low comes dressed in a cream suede, while Sherpa lining within the upper creates an incredibly comfortable feel, enhanced by a removed heel counter for a “slipper” like approach to the shoe. This pair also utilizes gum bottoms with a black paw print stamped at the toe.

Converse Spring ’19 Drop

Converse delivers three silhouettes: the One Star Academy OX, the Lucky Star HI, and the Chuck 70 HI, each with a different approach. A brash cheetah print falls across the pony hair upper of the Chuck 70 HI with a black medial All-Star logo to pair with the heel stripe and heel tab on the midsole. A 1969 model called the “Lucky Star” sees a rerelease with the original logo on the medial panel, a black canvas upper, added eyelets, and white contrast stitching. A low-top One Star Academy OX rounds out the offerings in a suede “amber ochre” tone with a black stripes and star branding on a white midsole.

UNDFTD and Converse again link up for a varsity jacket-inspired Chuck 70. Elements of the Americana staple jacket appear with chainstitched branding on the tongue and a bright chenille tiger splashed across the upper in orange, white, black, and pink. Undefeated branding also hits the footbed on this bold collaborative spin on an iconic sneaker.

Brain Dead x Converse Collection

This Converse Chuck 70 HI model showcases Los Angeles’ Brain Dead brand’s DIY mentality with multiple patterns found on each panel. Inspired by prints from the brand’s archives, Zeba, Camo, Leopard, and American Flag stars are found on the mismatched lateral and medial panels of the right and left shoes for a punk feel. The lateral panels feature a rubberized Brain Dead logo to cement the collaboration. Dropping alongside the Chuck 70 HI comes gear that includes a 50-50 bomber jacket and hoodie, “Bananas” sweater and more.

Carhartt WIP and Converse collaborate for three minimal colorways of the Incubate One Star. Military-inspired details like Cordura nylon uppers, spec numbers printed on the sidewalls, and a metal d-ring on the heel appear on the white, olive, and black colorways with Carhartt branding on the tongue, lace tips, and insoles.
